CROATIAN PREPARATIONS FOR CARTOON EXHIBITION IN NORWAY (Drøbak September 10 to October 30, 2011.)

Preparations for the exhibition in Norway (organized by the Croatian-Norwegian society and the Croatian Society cartoonist) provided the current pace. In a given period were collected and selected 85 cartoons of the 33 authors who will represent us at an exhibition in Norway. It is the translation of the text for the catalog (Norwegian / English), and during the selection of works - every author in the catalog will be presented in a work on exhibition and a short biography in a few sentences.

For a detailed agreement on an exhibition titled Croatia cartoons which will be held in Drøbak (near Oslo) started after the Easter holidays, Theodore K. Bakota (secretary of the Croatian-Norwegian company) and Zdenko Puhin (Secretary of the Croatian Association of cartoonists).

The report of the way at the meeting presented the IO HDK HDK Secretary Zdenko Puhin.

In Oslo, we first visited the Embassy where we were kindly received by Mr. Mario Horvat, the new Ambassador and Daniel Pavićevac-Krajač, second secretary. We presented our two organizations, then the whole project Exhibitions Croatian cartoons. We asked the ambassador to be the sponsor of the exhibition, and it officially opens on Saturday September 10th this year. The ambassador accepted the offer (if at that time be in Norway). Then we asked him to the embassy with his hand (if possible) participates in the organization banquet at the opening of the exhibition and also for the opportunity to hire a Croatian cultural society in Norway, which carried out a short cultural program.

It was agreed to regularly inform them about anything related to this exhibition, and making a written request for all agreed.

In the gallery of caricatures (Avisgtegnernes Hus) in Drøbak (port, a tourist town, and among other things is known for its galleries and artists) have met with Mrs. Vigdis Wolden, which is responsible for organizing the exhibition, and apologized to Mr. Erik De La Forest , a director who could not attend the meeting due to urgent commitments.

Mrs. Vigdis us spent the entire category, which consists of ground and first floors. At the entrance there is the info desk and the walls were covered with caricatures and illustrations. We agreed that our exhibition is the second part of the ground floor and first floor. Mrs. Vigdis was asked to send all the cartoons on the CD, and they will be printed and framed. It was agreed that they will be exposed to a total of about 80 cartoons, of which 60 A4 and 20 A3 size.
